Lukas: Newborn Photographer

Meet Lukas! Isn't he adorable!?!? Lukas' dad is in the army and has been in Afghanistan. He was scheduled to come home for a few weeks, but his scheduled date was a week past the due date. Lukas decided to hold out for daddy and his daddy arrived at the airport while mommy was in labor at the hospital. He literally was delivered within a few hours of daddy's arrival!!! They now have about 2 weeks to bond before daddy has another 8 months in Afghanistan. (Did I mention they actually live in Germany? Sarah wanted to have Lukas in the states, so they are just here for part of the summer before heading back to Germany! I'm so grateful they allowed me to capture their son on camera!

Kahlea Turns 1

This little beauty turns 1 on Saturday! She is the cutest thing! Her pigtails make me want to cry happy tears! Love her!

We had a really hard time getting her to smile....she just kept giving me blank stares no matter what we tried to do. I gave her a lollipop with hopes in getting a smile here and there, but she had a death grip on the lollipop! I re-learned my lesson of not taking candy away from a baby!

This is before we gto smiles, but I love the sweet simplicity in a photo with no smile. It shows a tender side and shows off some of their cute facial features!
