The Gibson Family

I had a great time photographing the Gibson family last night!
Do little girls come any cuter than this? Jill just turned 3 and gave us a reason for the photoshoot besides a long overdue family photo!Silly girl! She reminds me of my oldest! So expressive! This cracked me up...she took a break during our pictures to get her "exercises" in. She literally did some perfect pushups for several minutes! Work it Jill!!!The beautiful Mama!Lucas, the big brother!Mason, the middle child! These guys were silly and all 3 kids were on the run! It was quite a
night trying to get some still pictures, but we had some fun! The "we're bored" look! They wanted something less serious! I love Mason on the left, "Are we done yet? I can't handle any more of this!"

Ahhh, worth it!Thank you to the Gibson's for a fun night! And I got to try out my new photoshop actions from Paint the Moon Photography. I love them!

Headshots: Dawn

Brace yourself, because this is one beautiful woman! She's my friend Dawn and she needed some headshots. Boy did we have a blast taking pictures! She was so easy going and willing to do whatever I suggested (even laying on bird poop and ants....that's dedication!) Anyway, she's a very talented singer and is going to a Broadway Training program next week. She needed some headshots and this is what we got!

This first picture just takes my breath away..isn't she gorgeous!?!?
I know you're going to ask, but no, I didn't touch up her eyes! They are just naturally that beautiful? Jealous? Me too! After getting the headshot pictures done we just played around and had some fun! I love this stairwell that we found! This location is about 2 minutes from my house...woo hoo for a close location!!!

So, do you have a personal favorite? Because we had a really hard time choosing the headshot she was going to print!

Utah Cousins

This is my niece Morgan. Isn't she so cute? If she was mine I would blow this picture up big on a canvas and hang it on my wall! She wasn't sure about the camera...but once I showed her the pictures on the camera she kept coming back for more!

A little vanilla black and white...I typically love bold color, but this soft black and white also makes me happy! This was not a formal shoot, just a few quick photos at a family BBQ, but it might as well have been formal!Could she be any more of a cheeseball? Brianna just thinks her cousin Lexi is hilarious! And Lexi's goal in life was to make Bri laugh so they had a good ol' time playing. Bri misses her tons! Here is "Cookie" as Bri calls her. I ran a new photoshop action called "Delight" on her that has a vintage feel! I love it with the lighting and her outfit!

Robbie is such a sweetheart!
Maddie is getting so old! She's 11 and is the best helper. She loves to play with the kids and adults and is just so much fun to be around! She hung out with us for a full day! Maybe she can move in with me for the rest of the summer!!! I'm sure her mom would miss her though!
And here's a lesson to Zach...if you only take silly pictures that's what I'll post on the blog! He's a goofball! Gotta love him! Bri is afraid of this picture!Brianna loved the park down the street and could swing for hours if allowed!

Morgan

Just a quick peek at a photo of my cute niece, Morgan. This was not a planned photoshoot...we were just hanging out at a family BBQ. Isn't she a doll? I'm sad we live so far away!!!

My Sister!

Do you have one of those sisters that you could just talk to on the phone for hours! You never run out of anything to say and they just make you happy? Well, I do and while I was visiting family for the 4th I was able to do a quick photoshoot of my sister Emily! Whenever I'm around her I'm bound to have a good time and I'm sure to be laughing! Emily was so much fun to photograph! Between all of the silliness I think we got some really nice shots! She is one fantastic sister and an amazing aunt...my girls just adore her! This shot was the very first one and we were about ready to wrap it up and go home! What a great model to only need one shot! She was literally sitting in a pile of garbage on the side of the road! Not all of your locations need to be a big beautiful place....a few feet is all it takes for a close up!

Happy 4th of July!!!

I hope you all had a great 4th of July! We really enjoyed celebrating it with my family in Utah. I made the girls some special 4th of July outfits for church. The shirt on Miranda is a little big because it was one I had made for Bri as a little girl...and to be honest I didn't feel like making another one! So, pardon that it's falling off of her shoulders in some of the pictures and that Bri's skirt is on sideways!
And this one is a little over exposed, but I just thought the girls looked silly!
